Ingredients:
14 oz tofu (4 blocks cut into half)
Neutral oil
2 green onions chopped Pork filling: 1/4 lb of ground spork 1/4 cup Woodward mushroom rehydrated in hot water 1 green onion minced 1 tsp liquid seasoning 1/2 tsp mushroom seasoning 1/4 tsp black pepper Tomato sauce: 1-2 tbl minced garlic 2-3 tomatoes cut up 1 tbl fish sauce 1.5 tbl sugar 1 tsp of mushroom seasoning 2 tsp liquid seasoning
1. Soak the wood ear fungus in warm water until soften, then mince it. Once Combine all the ingredients for under pork filling. 2. Cut your tofu block in half. Make a split in the middle. Stuff the tofu with the pork mixture. 3. Heat up oil in a large pan (big enough to fit all your tofu). Pan fry tofu meat side down and then all side of the tofu until it’s golden brown. 4. Sauté minced garlic in oyster then add the tomatoes. Add fish sauce, sugar, mushroom seasoning, and liquid seasoning. Adjust to your taste. Let ingredients simmer for a few minutes so the tomatoes break down and become a savory tomato sauce. 5. Add the tofu and let it braise in the tomato sauce on low heat. Make sure all side get the opportunity to braise into the sauce. Let the sauce sauce reduce a bit and add the green onions at the very end. Enjoy with fresh rice!
